UGreen NAS Partners with MiniMax to Launch Native OpenClaw AI Integration
UGreen announces strategic partnership with AI firm MiniMax to natively embed large language models into its NAS ecosystem, becoming the first storage vendor to offer out-of-the-box OpenClaw functionality without manual deployment.
UGreen has announced a strategic partnership with MiniMax, a leading Chinese artificial intelligence company, to integrate generative AI capabilities directly into its network-attached storage (NAS) devices. The collaboration marks UGreen as the first NAS manufacturer to natively embed MiniMax's large language models, launching the OpenClaw application exclusively on the UGOS Pro platform.
Key Integration Features
Unlike competing solutions that require manual installation and configuration, the OpenClaw application offers a turnkey experience for UGreen NAS users. The integration eliminates traditional barriers to AI deployment by removing the need for API key applications, environment configuration, or code debugging. Users can access the functionality directly through the UGOS Pro App Center with a single-click installation.
Device Compatibility and Availability
The OpenClaw application is immediately available for:
- Supported Hardware: DXP series devices and the upcoming iDX series
- Access Platforms: Desktop applications and web interfaces
- Future Expansion: Additional model series compatibility planned for subsequent releases
Promotional Launch Offer
To commemorate the partnership, MiniMax is providing UGreen NAS users with a 30-day complimentary trial of full model capabilities. The promotional period runs from March 13 to April 12, 2026, based on the calendar date rather than individual installation dates.
Technical Differentiation
The native integration represents a significant departure from conventional NAS AI implementations, which typically require users to manually deploy OpenClaw through containerized environments or command-line interfaces. By pre-configuring the AI stack within the operating system, UGreen aims to democratize access to large language model technology for private cloud storage users who lack specialized technical expertise.
This move positions UGreen's private cloud ecosystem as an increasingly competitive option in the consumer and small-business NAS market, where seamless software integration is becoming a critical differentiator alongside hardware specifications.
